By on September 5, 2019 in ACU News, ACU Theatre with 0 Comments

Pack of Lies, by Hugh Whitemore and directed by theatre professor Adam Hester (’77), will be presented Feb. 13-15 and 20-22 at 7:30 p.m. in Culp Theatre. Dinner will be served Feb. 15 and a talkback session will follow the Feb. 21 performance.

A spy thriller in the vein of The Americans, the intrigue in Pack of Lies is based on a true story. The Jacksons are a nice middle-aged English couple. Their best friends are the Krogers, their Canadian neighbors. All is blissful in their world until a detective from Scotland Yard asks to use their house as an observation station to foil a Soviet spy ring operating in the area. They are really put to the test when the detective asks them to help set a trap. Should they betray their friends? Or their country?

Menu for the Feb. 15 dinner will be Caesar Salad, Herb Crusted Chicken Breast with a Red Pepper Sauce served with Parmesan Polenta and Sautéed Broccoli Rabe with Roasted Garlic, and Chocolate or English Strawberry Cake.

Recommended for ages 10 and older. Tickets are $15-$18 and may be purchased at acu.edu/theatre. Season tickets also are available for purchase.
