Needtobreathe to perform Sept. 15 at Wildcat Stadium

Grammy-winning rock band NEEDTOBREATHE will perform at the grand opening of Wildcat Stadium on Sept. 15.

Grammy-nominated rock band Needtobreathe will perform a free concert Sept. 15 at the grand opening of Wildcat Stadium.

The concert will begin at 8 p.m. and is open the community.

The band’s sixth studio album, Hard Love, debuted at debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Albums, Top Current Albums, Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in July 2016.

Opening Weekend at Wildcat Stadium

Friday, Sept. 15
11 a.m.​ ​– Chapel
8 p.m. –​ ​Needtobreathe free concert

Saturday, Sept. 16
1 p.m. – Parking lots open; Wildcat Country Tailgate load in
3 p.m. – Wildcat Country Tailgating begins in Campus Mall; Wildcat Ticket Central opens
3:30 p.m. – Wildcat Walk (football team walks to stadium)
4 p.m. – Suite and Club entrances open
4:30 p.m. – All gates open
5:43 p.m. – Wildcat Reign enters stadium
5:45 p.m. – Big Purple Band performs
5:52 p.m. – Prayer and National Anthem
5:54 p.m. – Ribbon-cutting ceremony
5:57 p.m. – Coin toss
6 p.m. – Kickoff against Houston Baptist
9:30 p.m. – Fireworks
9:30-10:30 p.m. (or one hour after game) – Load out tailgate
